For those of you unfamiliar with Scribblenauts, let me say this: I have never seen a game cause so many people get genuinely excited than I have with this title. And it’s for good reason too. Scribblenauts is an awesome, innovative game. I’m having a blast playing with it, and I’ve only been dicking around on the title screen.

Now there are a lot of things I’d love to show you, but really can’t. However I figure a little demo can’t hurt anyone, so I’ve quickly mashed together this video just to show a glimpse of the depth this game has. Taking a subject I assume most of my readers can get behind, animals, I’ve gone through and typed out a few, conjuring them onto the game screen.

Included in the video below: fox, wolf, coyote, tiger, lion, cheetah, dalmatian, husky, horse, and dragon, among others. That doesn;t include the marine life I’ve called up, the folklore, the aliens, and even sentient evil blob creatures. Add on to this the thousands of people, inanimate objects, tools, food, you name it and you start to see this game is kind of awesome.

And yes, the animals tend to fight each other. I know some of you want foxes and wolves to do other things, but the game is pretty accurate. And for the record the term “furry” is not in the game, and mascot brings up a mime figure. Sorry fursuiters. 5th Cell says this preview version doesn’t have everything, so keep your fingers crossed.
