2009 wasn’t the best year for games. I blame the economy, and possibly Facebook and their shitty games. But it wasn’t a total bust. There were actually quite a few great games to play, so many in fact that I didn’t get to nearly all of them (I try to have a social life, however sad it may be). But of the ones I did play, Here are a few of the standout titles.

Even Buffed Out Daxter Can’t Save The Lost Frontier
I love me some Jak and Daxter. The Naughty Dog series is one of my favorite platformers of all time. Since the original developer has seemingly moved on to bigger, better titles (Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will blow your mind and your dick), the duo has changed hands a couple times. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier was supposed to be the next game in the series, but after playing it I’m just hoping it gets retconned away.
Ok, who’s the wiseass that demanded Daxter get buff?
I’ve been a fan of the “Jak and Daxter” series since it came out in 2001. I’ve played every game, including the spinoffs, and have loved them all (even that kart racer one). Later this year High Impact Games takes the reigns on one of my favorite series and continues the story on the Playstation Portable with “Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier” While I’m more than happy to have more Jak in my life, my excitement is currently restrained based on the short, but varied demos of the title.
