We kick off our recommended reading list with two books about love and alcohol.

I want to review Isolation Play, and give it a full in-depth analysis because it’s an interesting novel that deserves to be broken down. But I can’t write a review without giving away major spoilers. I just can’t do it. Trying to review it that way dances around the issues and doesn’t do the book justice. So here’s the deal. Follow these simple steps, and together we’re going to give Isolation Play a great review.
During a Midwest Fur Fest panel for SofaWolf Press, author Kyell Gold finally revealed the title to his Out of Position sequel. Spoiler: it’s a football reference.
While hearing that Kyell Gold has been nominated for an award may seem old news by this point, hearing that he was nominated for an award by decades old, non-furry science fiction club adds a new level of legitimacy to the fandom.
One of the things I like about New Fables as a series is that the stories within are not strictly “furry”, nor are they explicit. Many of them touch on some very adult themes, but it’s the kind of book you could give to a family member or friend to ease them into “that weird animal thing that you’re into”. The Summer 2010 collection keeps up the tradition, and has the added bonus of featuring some of my all-time favorite stories ever printed in these books.
FA: United 2010 saw the awards ceremony for the 2009 Ursa Major Awards. Nine winners across ten categories received awards based on votes from fans. The full list of winners are below.
Want to know what goes on in the first chapter of Kyell Gold’s new book? Too damn bad, we’re not allowed to spill, but we can give you some interesting details.
I, like many of you, have been excited for the Nordguard Trilogy since the teaser art almost a year ago. There hasn’t been an update on it for a while, but I finally got to see some of the pages from the upcoming first book in the trilogy, Across Thin Ice. It’s violent, it’s gorgeous, and it’s really, really blue.
Full of intrigue, drama, tense action and (yes) sex, Kyell Gold’s latest novel continues to set the gold standard for furry erotic fiction.
Does the furry fandom have a James Bond equivalent yet? Don’t say Spy Fox, fuck that guy. I’m going to submit that Arkady Ryswife, the ferret protagonist of Kevin Frane’s newest novel The Seventh Chakra is the fandom’s official badass secret agent.
